My daughter's laugh

My daughter's laugh is contagious.  It is soothing, mystifying, and best of all adorable.  I can not be upset around her because she feeds off my energy.  I can not be mad at her because she will not allow it.

The past few days have been very hectic for us, well me mostly.  Normally she digests her food well, but for some reason she decided to push my buttons this weekend.  From spit ups in the restaurant on Friday to spit ups on my 'Sunday Best' at mom's house, she let me have it.  I realized a while back that, clothes are just materials.  They can all be washed.  But those few moments after she spits up and looks innocently at me are priceless.

Her smile after she's done something that I consider a 'no no' causes me to take a deep breath, change her clothes (and mine), clean the area and continue playing.  She brings out my patience and ignores my flaws.  Her laugh does not care if my shoes match my purse or if my hair is combed.  Her laugh does not wonder if the bills will be paid (on-time).  Her laugh exudes innocense and magnifies all that is great in me.

I love the quiet times we share just as much as the loud times when we're both laughing for no reason.  See there is no motive, no intentions behind her laugh.  There is no worry.  Only love, peace, and joy.

My daughter's laugh is...love.
