Trust

This week's lesson is all about trust.  I was recently laid off and found myself wondering what my next move would be.  Should I take a mediocre job and struggle to get by or hold out for the high paying gigs?

While most would go for the highest paying job, I am holding out for the job God wants me to have.  Each day my faith is tested as I rely on His word and trust that He will provide a way for me and my husband to provide for our daughter.  I know that God has more in store for me.  Where ever He decides to place me, that's where I will go.

Often times we ask God for direction, but continue to steer the car ourselves.  When we don't let Him do what He needs to do, we run the risk of having a flat or crashing into a wall.  We make the situation worse.  Obstacles will come and go.  The solution to getting around them is to sit still and let God take control of the wheel.

I know this is easier said than done, but that is where faith comes in.  You have to trust that God will not lead you somewhere He is not going to be.  It may seem like He has left you, but He's actually waiting on you to acknowledge that you need Him.

This week look at one area of your life that has a flat. Call on God to fix it. Pray for direction and patience.  Trust that He will fix it and make it better.  I dare you!
