I titled this blog 'so High School' because that is my term for trivial matters that seem childlike. No good can come from unproductive complaints. Regardless of your numeric age, there comes a time in life when all the toxic noise needs to stop. It is played out! (Yes, I said played out). Negativity is just as contagious as positivity. They type of energy/karma you give out is the same time you will receive.
Have you ever known a person who continuously question everything. They cannot accept anything at face value. Everything they think and speak is negative. Everything they do is a direct contradiction to the group's goal. Frankly, it is annoying. Grow up already! I often wonder what it will take for them to start being optimistic instead of pessimistic?
Then I remember...prayer. Sometimes you just need to drop down on your knees and pray for them. The only thing we can change is our self and our perceptions. We can however pray for God to move in that person's life and that they will make a change for the better. So my suggestion to you is to pray for clarity and to remain objective. Pray for compassion for everyone. Pray for guidance on how you should receive the information and proceed. Pray for God to speak to you and the other person(s). Pray for grace, mercy, and loving kindness. Most of all, pray for forgiveness.
Forgiveness is not for the other person, but for you. Sometimes we have wronged people when we thought our intentions were good. Other times, they have wronged us, but our response was not pleasing to God. We are to speak with grace, not with a malicious tongue. I encourage you to refrain from "high school" matters and idleness. Surround yourself with positive people who do not have alterior motives. Yes, this is easier said than done. But if you make a conscious effort to give "high school" matters to God and let Him deal with it, you will begin to see a change take place.
I can only speak what I know and what I have (still am) experiencing. My trials are my testimony. I'm just learning me. Be blessed!
