Change in any form is not easy. It is, however, necessary for growth. I am learning that change is a process and that accepting change is a process as well. Change can mark the beginning or the end of something or a slight detour in your plans. Whatever the reason, I want you to remember a few things.
First of all, God is with you. God said He would never leave us, nor forsake us. He is with you every step of the way. When you begin to doubt that changing your situation will work out for the best, think of the mustard seed. It is a tiny, tiny seed. The Bible tells us that all we need is to have faith the size of a mustard seed and we can move mountains (I'm paraphrasing). Just an ounce of faith will help you through your trials. Can you name one person in the Bible that God didn't show up and show out for?................................don't worry I'll wait............................................................... Didn't think so.
So if God can help Moses and the children of Isreal, Jonah, David, Noah, Esther, Ruth, Daniel, and Job, surely He can help you. Even when Jesus was being crucified, God was still in the midst. No problem is too hard for God to solve, just have faith.
Secondly, give it time. Change involves transition and every transition requires time to adjust. You can't change something on Monday and expect it to be better on Tuesday. Everything happens in God's timing. Starting a new job, leaving a job, going back to school, buying a home, loosing a loved one, having a baby, getting married all take time. When boulders keep blocking your change, ask yourself, are you working on your timeframe or God's? It may be that the change you needed on yesterday, God was not ready for you to make.
Catapillars make cocoons and hide in them until they change into butterflies. If you aren't were you thought you would be, it could be that God still has you in the cocoon. Maybe you aren't ready to make that transition to a butterfly. He needs you to sit still and rest in Him. Everything happens for a reason and that reason has to be in God's plan for us. We didn't create ourselves and we can't break out of our cocoons ourselves. Your change and blessing will come. Give it God's time.
