Get over it and get Christ!!!

This is my last post of the year.  2013 is less than 2 hours away and I have so many things running through my mind right now.  You may or may not have experienced a situation like this.  If you have not good for you.  If you have, well, God be with you.  To prevent myself from venting or fussing, I am only going to make general observations.  These observations are numbered, so that I do not get carried away and type a 20 page essay.

1) Grudges and Forgiveness: Get over it!!  I am referring to trivial issues that people blow out of proportion.  If someone has wronged you, the Bible says you should go in prayer first, then go to that person in private.  If they will not hear you, then get 2 or 3 others and try to talk with that person again (Matthew 18).  It makes no sense for grown folks to act like 2 year old children over something so small.  Get a life and get Christ!

2) Stop Hating:  I've witnessed several occasions were people are so wrapped up in themselves that they cannot be happy for others.  Jealousy is not a good color.  Every blessing is not for you.  Let someone else have a turn at the out pour.  My goodness.  Get a life and get Christ!

3) Let it go!!  Your problems are just temporary hurdles that God is bringing you over.  Give it to God and let it go.  You are going more damage to your spirit and physical body by harboring ill feelings and stressing over stuff that is out of your control.  Let go and let God!! Plain and simple.

4) Get your kids:  I cannot stress this enough.  I am so tired of hearing about senseless killings and viral fights, bullying, suicides, and other idiotic attempts kids make to gain attention.  Parents, get your kids!!  All behaviors are learned.  It is our job as parents to teach them the right behaviors to begin with.  If you think you don't have what it takes to reteach a new behavior, then seek help.  Plain and simple.  There are people and agencies that provide help to parents of any income level.  Get your kids.  I don't care what tactics you use or when you start or how old they are.  Kids are not just kids.  Fix it now and you won't have to seem them on the news later.

It may seem like I am ranting and raving about a bunch of stuff.  Well, I am.  A new year is upon us and it is time out for foolishness and pettiness.  So I hope you will review the state of your relationships and decide to let some things go and move on.  You won't have room for new blessings, if you are still holding on to old baggage.  Happy New You!!
