Dear Kirsten,
I love you beyond measures. You are a true gift from God. Each day I thank God that He trusts me and your dad so much, that He would allow us to be your parents. I know it seems like we are tough on you and that we don't let you have your way all the time, but we still love you. We are tough because we know there is greatness in you. We are strict because we want you to succeed.
We strive to do all that we can to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home for you. I want you to know that nothing we have is from our own works. Everything that we are, everything that we have, and everything that we do is because of God. We were created to be vessels of praise unto the Lord. We were created in His likeness and image. That is why you see me praising God so much. I love God and I love God's people. More importantly I love you. I love your smile and laugh. I love your exaggeration of syllables. I love your warm hugs and comforting words.
I love you inside and out. I pray you will never let anyone take the joy you have in your soul away. I pray you will run to God when times are good and when times are bad. I pray you will always seek refuge in the safety of God's arms. Mommy may not always be there to give you an encouraging word, so you have to know God for yourself. I pray the example I give you will inspire you to live better, dream bigger, and praise harder than before. I love you, forever.
Always in my heart,
Mommy
