Fly Above

I had the opportunity to travel to Baltimore, MD this week to attend a National Conference.  Luckily, I had the window seat during each flight.  I love sitting by the window and gazing out into the sky.  Looking at God's creations, the clouds, the trees, the river, takes my breath away.  I used my time on the plane to reflect on His love for me, sleep (of course) and to study the Word.

So many thoughts raced through my mind as I traveled.  Will I get there safe?  Is my family ok?  Where is the nearest exit?  But then I turned towards Heaven and remembered my favorite scripture:
25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? - Matthew 6:25-27

Suddenly, I felt peace.  A peace that surpasses all understanding.  A tranquil, serene, kind of peace.  A peace that I had let slip away.  So many times we get caught up in life and forget to just relax.  God has everything under control.  He predestined us and laid the blueprints out for our life, long before we started making 'changes' to it.

Thank you God, for my journey.  Thank you for allowing me to experience your love, feel your presence, and receive your Spirit.  Thank you for the revelations you gave me on the plane and the quietness I needed to return back to you. -Amen

My prayer for you is to take out the time to be along with God and your thoughts.  Re-align yourself up with His Word.  Leave worry at the door because Grace is carrying you.

Fly above the craziness of life.  God is waiting on you.
