It puzzles me how people take for granted the simple things in life.  Once again I am baffled by the commercialization of the Christmas season.  Every where I go, stores are overly obsessed with getting consumers to spend money that some of them don't have.
I look forward to Christmas because it gives me a chance to really reflect on how grateful I am that Jesus was born.  This season teaches me to be obedient and humble like Mary and Joseph.  It reminds me to be thankful like the wise men and Elizabeth.  But most importantly to trust God like my ancestors.
Yes, Christmas is a time of giving, spending time with family and friends.  It is also a time to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Remember, His birth  was no easy task.  There were a lot of obstacles that Mary and Joseph had to endure.  There were people that wanted to hurt Jesus.  They did not understand His purpose and the message He would bring.
Often times, God is working in our lives and people don't understand why we smile when we should be crying.  They don't understand why God is moving you one place and not the other.  Just like Mary and Joseph, throughout the process, you must trust that God has everything under control.  I urge you to reflect this holiday season and share the true meaning of Jesus' birth.  Share the hope and joy that be gave to us.  Share the love that He showed us.  Sharing is caring.  Sharing Jesus is free because He paid it all.
